Notice of the Small Towns Visioning Session Addison County, like communities all across America, is looking for ways to meet the economic challenges facing our nation. A group of community leaders, representing different interests, have volunteered their time to help develop a Comprehensive Development Strategy (CEDS) for Addison County. In an effort to guarantee that the CEDS is a true reflection of the community it serves, Thea Gaudette, representing the Small Towns on the Strategy Committee, will lead a brainstorming, or visioning session. The session will ask the question, "From the perspective of someone representing the Small Towns, what do you want for Addison County in the future and what steps would you suggest to get there?" This visioning session will be held on January 17, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Addison County Ag and Business Center on Route 7 South in Middlebury. The public is welcome to participate. The development of the CEDS is an opportunity to define steps to improve the county's economic climate. It is also a requirement of a principle federal funding source capable of providing the tools necessary for accomplishing the goals established in the development of the plan.
