The Addison
County Regional Planning Commission will hold two public hearings
on December 12 and January 9, 2002 at 7:15 p.m. on the proposed
amendments to and readoption of the Addison County Regional Plan.
The December hearing will be held at Middlebury College's Kirk
Alumni Center and the January hearing will be held at the College's
Kenyon Lounge in the Memorial Field House, Middlebury, Vermont.
These hearing are held pursuant to 24 VSA § 4348. This notice
is issued pursuant to 24 VSA § 4447(b)(1).
The Regional
Plan is used as a basis for guiding planning efforts in the Addison
Region. For major development applications, certain sections are
used as review criteria in Act 250 and other state regulatory
proceedings. All areas within the jurisdiction of the Addison
County Regional Planning Commission are affected.
The Addison
County Regional Planning Commission proposes to make amendments
to the Population and Housing Section of the plan, the Introduction
to the plan and some technical and non-substantive changes to
the Consistency Section of the plan. It also proposes to re-adopt
the entire plan as amended. Accordingly, all sections of the plan
will be subject to discussion at the public hearing.
