ENERGY COMMITTEEThe ACRPC Energy Committee was formed to address energy efficiency and support local energy production in Addison County. The Committee seeks to accomplish this goal by:
Energy and the Addison County Regional PlanThe Energy Committee is responsible for implementing the policies, goals and recommended actions of the Energy Section of the Addison County Regional Plan (adopted 11/9/05). The goals of the Plan’s Energy Section are:
Town Energy CoordinatorsMunicipalities have the option to appoint an energy coordinator to study and evaluate alternative sources of energy, to coordinate existing energy resources in the town, and to develop a municipal energy plan. The Energy Committee recommends appointing an energy coordinator, and intends to work with interested coordinators to promote energy conservation at municipal buildings and further the town’s energy goals.
